Question 1 - What is a spill containment bund used for?

A spill containment bund allows to collect leaks from a container or a drum placed on top, in case an accidental leak occurs.
It avoids ground contamination and protects every person working on-site.

Question 2 - What sort of chemicals can be stored in spill containment bunds?

HDPE (High-density polyethylene) spill containment bunds guarantee a reliable storage for all chemical materials.

Question 3 - Is it possible to use a spill containment bund for several chemical products?

It is not advisable, especially between non-compatible chemicals. Even if the spill containment bund has been clean thoroughly with water, sediments of the precedent chemical may remain.

We strongly recommend you to always use the same spill containment bund to store the same chemical product.

Question 4 - Is it possible to discharge the spill containment bund in the river system?

It is strictly forbidden to pour out a chemical product on the ground or within any non- controlled system or network, particularly, if the chemical represents a risk of pollution.

Question 5 - How many containers or drums can be placed on a spill containment?

It is advisable not to pile up the storage elements for two reasons:

• High risk of chemical incompatibility (if case of storage of different chemical products)
• In case of accidental leak, piling up can reduce and even eliminate the spill containment bund's possibility to collect effluents.
