Manufacturing Process: Helically Winding Extrusion

... The Latest Techniques

Means of Performance

Our production is outfitted with the latest technology, a testing laboratory, and up-to-the minute automated equipment. Our manufacturing units are calibrated on a rigorous and regular basis, guaranteeing perfection and precision at all times.

Complete Homogeneity

Our tanks are manufactured using the latest technique of helically winding extrusion.

Extruded at a temperature of 240°C as a continual strip, the manufacturing material rolls up continuously around a mandrel from the beginning to the end of the shell ring.
A robot controls the opening of the extrusion head and allows a continual flow, reducing or increasing the extruded strip thickness.

This exclusive process eliminates the risks of oxidation between the layers and allows a better control of thickness for the shell ring, ensuring, thus; complete homogeneity.

Commitment to Quality

When manufacturing its tanks, Stockage & Systèmes pays careful attention to comply with strict quality regulations as well as environmental protection rules.

Advantages of our process
  • It guarantees complete homogeneity: single-piece tanks

  • It eliminates the risk of oxidation between layers

  • It allows the shell ring to have a better control of thickness

  • It allows the storage of a great majority of corrosive liquids, even the strongest ones (wall thickness up to 75 mm)
  • It respects standards and currently in force regulations
